MMGW isn't real ... it is just for a bunch of old menwho can't do real science to sit around and pull funcing away from younger researchers whom can make a difference.
CO2 is a lie ....

You should be aware that Zeddd, the company now responsible for the online mall, can not even afford to pay compensation of $20 per week to one of his clients who took him to court for failure to complete a simple website.

What did happen to that $700,000?????

What does Occupy Dunedin want? well i cannot speak for the group but i can speak for myself as a member of the group, i want to see equality, accountability and transparency in New Zealand! I want big business to have no say over the government which perverts the course of justice and the growth of the country.

In regards to the political leanings of the group, there are none, any perceived representations will be dealt with at the next general assembly, this is not a political party! i know i personally would rather see a peaceful peoples revolution where we remove all of the laws and issues which have constricted the rights of the people and only worked to serve big business.

The people who camp in the octagon are standing up for the idea of a better tomorrow, a lot of people may not understand this but it quiet simply is the only way to get the governments attention as they don't seem to listen to anything else the public stands up against and progressively work toward making rushed decisions so the public do not get a say at all.

Please feel free to come down to the octagon and talk with the people, there is an open mic if you want to talk to the group as a whole if you wish. It is a very friendly environment and the people are knowledgeable and passionate. I look forward to seeing you there

Hi Al

I've just set up a Dunedin orientated blog and linked to others here including yours.

I am skeptical of politicians and bureaucrats too - and I'm having a crack at doing something about it. I'm standing for Dunedin North this year and am basing my campaign on a strong grass roots and community connection with partial direct democracy. It's a big challenge but I will at least have an impact. I'm offering what many people are asking for, something different to what's on offer now (options are underwhelming), and someone who promises to listen and put representing them first.

I'm also putting feelers out for someone who might be interested in doing likewise in Dunedin South.

If I don't succeed in winning I will continue with the communication hub I've laready started setting up and use it as a people's lobby, not as efffective as working directly with a party owned MP but it should still do some good.

Regards

Oh you have that right Tat, the stadium advocates will indeed blame the so called stadium protesters for causing the stadium to fail economically. Neat huh? One problem though, the stadium councillors ( Clr Brown, Noone, Bezett etc) pushed ahead with the stadium on the bases the the so called majority ( silent of course) are all for the stadium. So how can a bunch of sad, non stadium lovers possibly damage the stadium's success? They can't have it both ways. Good luck with your gamble that the stadium is going to 'somehow' drive the city's economy.

In the Oddity today Cr Bezette informs us that everybody in Dunedin believes the Academy of Sport is an essential part of city (come again?). Ominous words; sounds like Bezette is softening us up to have our rates flowing toward the 'crucial' academy. I'm just hoping that the mayor sticks to his platform of transparency in this matter.

I wonder how much power the elected councillors actually have. It seems to me that the real power and influence comes from the staff and, in particular, the CEO. I hope I am wrong but that is what it looks like to me. Grahame

I just had a look at the rest of your site, and it appears you simply parrot your info from the ODT. What's the point of that?<br /><br />"Advertisements contain the only truths to be relied on in a newspaper." -- Thomas Jefferson, Letter to Nathaniel Macon, January 12, 1819
