Politician-speak from Bill Acklin

Dunedin City Councillor, Bill Acklin, commenting on the controversy about the $50,000 of ratepayers’ money spent on renting the phallic structure in the Octagon for the Rugby World Cup:

As far as I am concerned, this art work was funded from the Rugby World Cup budget and is nothing to do with the Art in Public Places subcommittee. Anyone who says otherwise is seriously breaching confidentialities.

If it is nothing to do with the Art in Public Places subcommittee, then what confidentialities are there to disclose?
