Big Pay For Museum Chief

After initially refusing requests from Dscene, the Otago Museum has been forced by the Official Information Act and the Ombudsmen, to release information on the salary package  of Museum director, Shimrath Paul.
Paul could earn up to $310,000 annually, up from $80,000 in 1996.   Pay increases up to this level are ridiculous for a public organisation which relies on ratepayers for it’s income.
The Otago Museum needs it’s budget trimmed.   The Dunedin City Council should reduce it’s contribution.
