A new CEO is being employed by Dunedin Venue Management Ltd despite it’s continuing large losses, and the planned review by the Dunedin City Council.
DVML’s revenue cannot justify it’s expensive Board and management structure.
The Board’s performance has been appalling under Chairman Hansen, who also headed the Carisbrook Stadium Trust which is largely responsible the Stadium disaster.
The Board should be scrapped and no CEO employed until after the review.
It is not surprising that candidates are not put off by the review because they can expect a substantial redundancy if the review results in the position being abolished.
